Root & Rise is a weekly, nature-infusion thoughtfully planted for homeschoolers ages 5–9, blending science and social studies education through outdoor exploration.
Moms stay on site, and siblings of all ages are welcome—it’s common to see babies crawling, toddlers toddling, and teens exploring. We trust nature’s wisdom: we grow best when we grow together, like an ecosystem in harmony.

What to expect
Root & Rise meets regularly at Cassava Acres in Central Florida, for fully outdoor sessions.
Each mom-led themed unit may last from 2-8 weeks to explore topics like earth science, gardening, life cycles, history, music, life skills, and mindfulness.
Families are invited to register for individual units throughout the semester, as it fits for your interests and season.
We send unit details and registration info several weeks in advance—please make sure we have your current email by signing up below!

Our monthly fee is $85, which includes Unit Study Coordination, Prep, Materials, and Guidance.
Parents may choose to pay $255 to register for the 3-month season in advance.
Additional siblings may register for a discounted rate of $65 a month, or $195 for the season.
Fees apply to all children age 5 and up and can be paid directly through My Scholar Shop.
Root and Rise welcomes learners across all ages. Younger siblings of enrolled children are always included at no additional cost. If your sprouts aren't yet in kindergarten, but you're eager to join us, simply email courtney@cassavaacres.com and ask about our Pre-K space availability and special family pricing - we're excited to help your little saplings blossom with us.
While we don't regularly offer drop ins to our unit study sessions, occasionally Root and Rise offers select one day workshops on various nature related topics to homeschool students in the community. These sessions may be attended independently of the monthly unit study. Tuition for a one-day workshop is $20.
